Let's start by my real name... Bernardo Alesna Manzano, Jr... which, for the purpose of those behind me (para ma trace nila ng maayos heritage namin) I CORRECTED to Bernardo Yamson Gaguan Tanggagorang Alesna Lapuz Pommier Manzano, Jr. My family's history of excile from both sides made me do this. My family is part Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, American, and Jewish. SO... here we go...

Nyo - I actually named myself this. According to my Nanay, when I was a toddler, I had difficulty saying JUNIOR, I end up saying just NYO.

Junior - Tatay, of course. And my relatives on his side.

Bernard - When I entered preschool, this is what my teacher called me. Tapos bumalik ng grade 5 and hanggang ngayon.

Kuya - When my younger sister Tabitha started talking.

Bernardo - Grade 1- 4

Manzano - Some of my teachers in elementary.

Bikong - By my cousin Kuya Sammy Sampol... we call him ABNOY.

Bakla -  Need I say more? Saka pala nung call-center days ko, lahat... BAKLA!!!

Tibo - When I was growing up, I looked like a girl and dressed liked a boy. Until I reached 6, some of my neighbors thought I was a tomboy. I even got myself confused at times.. tinatanong ko si Nanay kung ano pagkaka-iba ng babae sa lalaki. I also remember I sometimes got MOLESTED because of this, kasi they wanted to really know if I was a boy talaga, kaya yung iba... hinihipuan ako (is there a shrink in the house???).

A. B. Normal - Kami ng mga dating kaibigan ko.

Moret - Tawagan namin ng mga churchmates ko na barkada ko.

Talentado - Alam nyo na kung bakit.

Disaster Master - Clumsy ako nung bata. Dami kong nasisirang bagay.

Adviser - Tawag sa akin ng mga pasaway kong kaibigan na lagi kong sinesermonan.

Mr. President - Nung first year high school saka nung 1st year ko sa college.

Mr. Ambassador - Everyone in college called me this. Sinali kasi ako ng class adviser namin sa Mr. and Miss Ambassador for HRM students, and I won 1st runner up, pero sabi ng student body, I should've won, kaya they call me Mr. Ambassador. Actually, kahit yung nanalo, ganito tawag sa akin. Eh, ok lang... I did not expect that I came from, I came from one of the taft... top 10. Hmmm, so… but I said that my family is the most important persons in my life. Thank you. (Ay, mali, di ako sumagot nito!!! But I didn't feel any pressure that time... I did it for the "UNO" grade).

Bumbay - Because I'm hairy.

Supot - Tawag ng mga kuya ko sa akin, nung ako's di pa...

Baboy - Kasi sobrang taba ko noon, tapos may ugali akong YAK, hanggang ngayon naman, eh, he he he...

Adik - Nung bigla akong pumayat mula sa 36 na bewang to 26. Pati ako natakot, pero di ako adik no'n

Nio - I was a part of a band dati, and they all called me Mio (as in mee-hee-hee-hee-yo-ho-ho-ho-ho...) because that's what they heard when I was first introduced to them. Ako naman, di ko pansin, until may inabot silang folder sa akin with song lyrics, nakasulat sa harap, "Mio". So, I corrected them, said it was "N" and not "M". Kaya naging Nio. Saka mas appropriate... comes from the name Junior, eh.
