hmmm.. my first memory of kuya nio... syempre yung Christmas cantata sa iba ibang churches with, as you put it, friends. at yung testimonial mo sa Friendster ko na "the Assunta you'd like to take to church".. hahaha!! tagal na nun (feb 3 2004).
ReplyDeletepero if you ask me what regularly comes to mind when i think of kuya nio... hehehehe... he's a kuya who can be very maloko yet can also be serious (for a short period lang. hahahaha). seriously, this is one guy i wouldn't regret being good friends with. thanks for everything you've contributed to my life, namely, mga kalokohan. hahahaha... jk.. marami ka rin naicontribute sa akin na matino. pramis!

hahaha!!!! my first memory of Nio was during our grade school years, Makati Elementary School Days....I bet you can't remember any of those hahahahaha!!!!!! Nio was a very silent type when we were small kids about 23 years ago.....that was grade 1!!!! Pero there was this time when all of us were standing up kc someone was doing the paper trick, when you tear the paper into 3 vertical pieces but not all the way through (because you wont be able to make the trick if it is torn all the way through)you get and fold the middle part of this torn part of the paper (of course it shouldn't be seen from behind) and pull this piece and see how the 2 vertical pieces move towards you as if you were pulling them.......wheeew!!!!! hirap mag explain... naalala mo un? lahat tyo nun naglaway kc first time natin nakita un sa ating murang edad!!!!!! wala pa kc ung adviser ntin nun!!!

ReplyDeleteAng laki ng kasalanan ko sa yo before with those FRIENDS we're talking about, di man lang kita napagtanggol sa dalawang yun, but then again, di naman tayo ang close nung mga panahong iyon. All the panlalait and stuff, grabe, sorry talaga!!! Naki-damay pa ata ako ng mga panahon na yun, SO SORRY!!! Pero pinaka-naaalala ko sa yo is nung sa seminary nung kumanta tayo, tapos natulak ata kita ng masyadong malakas kasi naglolokohan tayo, ang layo ng napuntahan mo, he he he!!! SORRY ULET, naku, ang dami ko ng atraso sa yo, anubayan!!! Ngayon alam mo na kung bakit super bait ako sa yo ngayon??? :P
Ah, yes, Ajerico Acayin... Grade one classmate ko ito, at ang na-aalala ko sa yo noong mga panahon na iyon ay... surot!!! Sawali ang classroom natin noon, tapos yung mga upuan natin, mga luma na, tapos bukod-tangi atang sa upuan mo napunta ang lahat ng surot sa daigdig. Pinagawan ka pa ng sariling upuan ng Dad mo (or Dad mo pa ata talaga gumawa non). Teacher natin si Mrs. Mijares, AT!!! Sumipsip ka pa sa kanya kasi pinagawan din ng Dad mo si Mrs. Mijares ng pointer sa chalkboard na gawa sa kahoy. AT!!! Madalas tayong pagkamalang mayaman noon, tatlo tayo... ikaw, ako, at si Farrah Wella Lucero. Tayong tatlo ata ang umuubos ng laman ng tray palagi, minus the nutri-bun, ha ha ha!!!

ReplyDeleteSJ, natutuwa ako sa kanya during Funshop two years ago. Very cooperative, a great leader, and what's more, a GOOD artist. I also remember something that we've talked about, pero I believe God made an intervention in her life to get her heart's desire. I prayed for her when I heard her PROBLEM then, and now, SJ!!! Yan na!!! It may SEEM like a problem, what you have right now, pero I believe, after you graduate or somewhere in the middle... wala na yan. Ginamit lang ni God yan to BLESS you with what you really wanted in the first place. ;)

ReplyDeleteaaawww.... =( pero ok na yun. that was years ago. and i've long learned that people who don't really know you can always say what they want to say about you. but it doesn't necessarily change who you are. tsaka ano ba magagawa ko kung insecure sakin ang mga tao at kelangan pa akong siraan sa iba... hahahaha!!! yan... yan ang mentality para kebs nalang sa mga naninira. hehehe... because I know who I really am and I am secure with who God has fashioned me to be. others can always be better than me but it doesn't make me a lesser being.

ReplyDelete1st memory: Syempre ano pa?! Yung sinamahan mo yung friend mo dahil he needed to see Quennie during our "It Might Be You" rehearsals sa Home of the Lord. Nainis ako sa inyo kse ang ingay nyo! =P Nandun ka kaya sa teritoryo namin?! Wehehehe! Pero syempre bumait kami ni Jane sa'yo nun when we found out you played the violin. We sooo needed you! =P Nyaha! Bi-yatch! Dati yun ha? Good girl na'ko now! ;)
2nd: I dunno if you remember this. It was such a long time ago...You called me up one early morning (and you were rarely up at that time). You sounded kabado and worried then, because you just had a bad dream about me in an accident and dying so you wanted to see if I was okay. It turned out God used you to speak to me through that dream as a warning. To me it meant I was "dying" spiritually so it made me check myself and my stand in God. I appreciated your concern very much.
3rd: Of course what else but my 29th surprise birthday party! You had to deceive me big time - Hah! The time I heard so many lies from you. Wehehe! But that was sooo much fun! After a bad breakup, that was definitely something I needed. Thank you so much for taking care of me!
I have a lot of memories about you: shows, workshops, parties, trips, outreaches, hospital visits, arguments, long phone conversations, etc. There were bad times but definitely a lot of good ones! Thanks heaps for all those times (which somehow molded me into who I am now) and for being the "kuya" I've never had. (Kuya ka pa din, you're two months older than I am! =P)
Let me just clarify na I seldom talk in a loud voice kapag nasa ibang lugar ako(or anywhere else for that matter, maliban na lang kung gusto kitang ipahiya... remember National Bookstore???:P), malamang si Niel yung maingay dahil may problem talaga kami sa kanya noon sa boses nyang nakaka-irita sa lakas at tinis. And, if I knew that ginagamit nyo lang ako, di ako nagtuloy kasi ALL FOR GOD ang motto ko, Man. Saka Lola... di ko kilala si Quennie noon, si Niel lang talaga kilala ko that time, at di ko pa din kilala sila Gehan and Amethyst, so malabo talagang mag-ingay ako. :P
ReplyDeletePero come to think of it, first thing that comes to mind is the "It Might Be You" concert ng TRS. You were very accommodating naman when you first saw me. If I had known na pinagpa-plastic-an mo lang pala ako that time (for something I'm not guilty of doing, mind you, he he he), baka tinapon kita from the open window of the Peaksun Building, he he he. Tapos, sinequester mo si Gehan to hear her sing ata or act while singing nung song nya dun sa malapit sa hagdanan. Tapos nanonood ako, sabi ko, yung babae, nababaliw (Gehan), HA HA HA!!! Kasi di ka kita, si Gehan lang from my point of view. AYUN!!!
Seriously, teary eyed ako... kasi kanina pa ako nakatingin sa monitor, he he he. Pero rest assured, di namam kaplastikan ang pinakita kong kabaitan sa yo noon dahil ako'y tunay na taong busilak ang kalooban, HA HA HA!!! Pero di nga, totoo naman yung ginagawa kong pag-kausap at kung anu-anong ka-echiveran, echusera, achu-chu-chu noon sa yo, he he he. Pati pag-tulak ko sa yo noon, it was just good natured fun gone overboard, NGAK!!!
